Products & Use

Which curtain track should I choose – Standard or Wide & Strong?

We offer two versions of our self-adhesive, tool-free curtain track, so you can choose the one that best suits your curtains and ceiling:

Standard track
- Tested for loads up to 2.5 kg
- Suitable for most light to medium-weight curtains, e.g., voile, linen, and thinner cotton fabrics
- Slimmer profile that is less visible against the ceiling

Wide & Strong
- Tested for loads up to 3.5 kg
- Recommended for slightly heavier curtains such as lightweight blackout curtains
- 25% wider and more robust construction for extra stability under heavier loads

Can I use adhesive curtain rails for different types of curtains?

Yes, our curtain tracks are suitable for most light to medium-weight curtain types.
The standard track is tested for loads up to 2.5 kg, and our wider version, Wide & Strong, can handle up to 3.5 kg – perfect if you have lighter blackout curtains. See further down this page for more information about each model.

How do I remove my curtain rails from the ceiling if, for example, I am moving?

You remove the rails by applying heat to soften the tape; use, for example, a hair dryer or a heat gun on low heat and blow onto the tape until it softens, then detach the rail. Any remaining adhesive can be scraped off, and finally, wipe clean with a mild cleaning product.

We do, however, want to be transparent that we cannot guarantee that there will be no marks or damage, as all homes have different types of ceilings and surfaces that react in different ways. On the other hand, the risk is usually smaller than if you drill and then need to fill and repaint the ceiling.

How long does it take to install your self-adhesive tracks?

It takes approximately 5–15 minutes, including preparation and assembly.

Do self-adhesive curtain tracks work on all ceilings?

They work best on smooth, clean surfaces like painted ceilings.

Will it leave marks on the ceiling?

We want to be transparent about the fact that we cannot guarantee that marks or damage will never occur, as ceilings and surfaces vary from home to home and react differently to adhesive. However, the risk is generally lower compared to drilling into the ceiling, which often leaves you needing to patch and repaint afterward. NOTE: The tracks are removed by applying heat to soften the tape; use, for example, a hairdryer or a heat gun.

Other questions

Can I reuse your self-adhesive curtain rails?

No, because the tape loses its strength when removed.

Can I use the curtain rail on the balcony?

Absolutely! Our self-adhesive curtain rail works just as well outdoors on the balcony as it does indoors. Perfect for creating a cozy and private balcony space.
The self-adhesive tape can withstand temperatures far higher than a Swedish summer can produce, so the rail should hold securely season after season.

How do I calculate the weight of my curtains?

To calculate the weight of your curtains, measure the width and length, find the fabric weight per square meter, and multiply these values. This simple calculation helps you choose the right curtain rail to ensure the curtains hang stably and look great in your home.

Step 1: Measure the width and length of the curtain. Width (W): Measure from edge to edge of your curtain. Length (L): Measure from the top of the curtain to where you want it to end (windowsill, floor, or any other point).

Step 2: Find the fabric weight per square meter. Different fabrics have different weights. A light curtain can weigh between 150–250 grams per square meter, while a heavier curtain like velvet or blackout fabric can weigh 400–800 grams per square meter. The weight is usually stated when purchasing curtains (e.g., 620g / m²)

Step 3: Calculate the area of the curtain: Multiply the width (W) by the length (L) to get the area in square meters. A=W×LA = W \times LA=W×L Example: If the curtain is 2 meters wide and 2.5 meters long, the area will be 5 square meters.

Step 4: Calculate the weight: Multiply the area (A) by the fabric weight per square meter (V). W=A×VW = A \times VW=A×V Example: If the fabric weighs 300 grams per square meter and the curtain has an area of 5 square meters, the weight will be: W=5×300=1500 grams (or 1.5 kg)W = 5 \times 300 = 1500 \text{ grams} \, \text{(or 1.5 kg)}W=5×300=1500 grams (or 1.5 kg)
